High-grade sanitary acrylic

Pool interior. High-grade sanitary acrylic - kind to the skin and warm. Vacuum formation creates flowing forms that suit the shape of the body. There is no surface contact, which gives it the perfect shine of glass. Shiny, smooth and easy to clean. Acrylic can even be polished and is extremely UV-resistant. This explains why your pool can still look brand-new after many years. Other manufacturers use soft embossed thermoplastics, which may be robust, but cannot be polished.

Sanitary acrylic is resistant to all weather conditions, many chemicals and cosmetics. Even rust or other forms of air pollution do not cause the surface to age even after years of use, as is the case with soft thermoplastics. Even the hot summer sun or icy winters are normal for the material.

Scratches or damaged spots can easily be polished or reworked if necessary. The acrylic shell is equipped with adhesion primiers and with multilayer polyester laminate, carefully finished by hand. This ensures maximal stability. Even if the pool is empty, deformation caused by sun radiation is excluded.

Only fiberglass reinforced constructions can make the same claims. Every Riviera Spa reflects 40 years of experience in polyester laminates. Other manufacturers often don't use this time-consuming method of material construction - they simply vacuum-form multilayered components with one step only.

Intelligent heating system

RivieraSpas have a 3000 watt heater made of Incoloy. This material is similar to titanium regarding its strength and durability, and is therefore extremely resistant to all kinds of chemical conditions. The whirlpool water cannot corrode the material, calcifications and deposits are almost excluded. Should a problem still occur, the heating element can be exchanged within 3 minutes.

In whirlpools, the heating element is under maximum stress. This is why irregularities in water chemistry and technology do not show up immediately. This insight lead to the development of the Smart Sensor Technology, in which temperature and functional measurement is carried out directly in the heater with 2 sensors. Lack of water, air pockets or problems with pressure are communicated to and processed by the Spa Manager. Safety measures are initiated or messages shown on the display.

One-piece cabinets

The cabinets are made of one-piece high-grade polyester laminate that is produced manually. The shell is firmly cast together with the cabinet through a hollow space sealing with rigid PU-foam, which provides maximum stability and, in combination with an insulating cover, a perfectly heat-insulated unit.

According to the design range, the cabinet is coated with high-grade 2-component paint as used in the automobile industry. Therefore, all surfaces are as resistant as the paint on your car and can be maintained just as easily. Occasional flooding or permanent dampness from rain, a wet floor or severe frost do not cause a problem - polyester is a much less sensitive material than real wood, which makes the concept of the RivieraSpa simply more stable and ideal for permanent weather-proof outdoor use.

Technical parts can be conveniently accessed - even without tools - through large inspection doors. There is enough room under the pool, which makes service of technical components easy and fast.

Low energy consumption saves costs

Everything possible was done to keep the operating costs of your Riviera Portable Spa to a minimum. Complete insulation of pool, jets and pipes. Standard hard-top covers and an energy-saving filter system. This way your pool only needs 2.5W in filtration mode. Taking a price of 12 euro cent per KW/h as a basis, the total cost is less than 1 euro per day*.

* In winter operation, the air blower can significantly increase energy costs through the input of cold outside air.

Filtration in Riviera Spas is done with the whisper-quiet "Silent Permanent Filter system“. With 99 Watts, the pump is as economical as your kitchen light. The system regenerates your water 24 hours a day and during that time circulates the contents of your pool up to 120 times. This total water volume is run through a cartridge made of fabric with millions of fine pores that catch even the smallest debris and finest floating particles. The cartridge filter is easy to remove and easy to clean. Just put it in the washing machine or clean it outside and inside with a high-pressure cleaner. A spare cartridge is supplied as standard.

A basket for larger debris, like leaves, can quickly be removed and emptied. Because of this leaf prevention, the filter surface area of the cartridges is maintained and the cartridges do not get sticky. This basket is also ideal for storage of disinfectants and additives.

When using the jets, the waterflow through the cartridge is increased so the water flows back filtered into the pool. This ensures a permanent and complete filtration - for clear water, in which you feel good.

The Spa Manager turns the jets and the blower on at regular intervals to purge the pipes. This gives you the assurance of a clean pool. Depending on the frequency of use, the water must be changed every 2-3 months. Emptying the pool is very easy. On the outside of the cabinet is a connector for a garden hose. Both draining faucets are opened and the water flows out. The pool is just as easily filled with a garden hose.

Disinfection

A time-controlled ozone generator takes care of basic disinfection. The generator consists of a plasma cell UV lamp which is connected to the filter circuit. Through ultra-violet radiation, natural and pure ozone gas from the ambient air is produced and mixed with the water stream. Ozone is a highly effective disinfectant that disintegrates after oxidation with pollutants on the water surface.

This basic disinfection ensures hygienically clean and clear water during normal use of the pool. And if your pool is not used over a longer period of time, it still purifies the water for weeks. If you use the pool more frequently, you can insure sanitation by adding traditional disinfectants like oxygen, bromine or chlorine. The pH of the water should be manually tested in this case. With ïts "Smart Start Technology", the supplier of this ozonator is a global leader. The highly efficient plasma cell on the inside of the unit generates a constant supply of ozone with only 1/3 of the energy needed by traditional UV generators. With over 100,000 error-free starts, the technology of Balboa ozonators ensures unique reliability when turning on the pool and the ozone production.

Thus, your whirlpool water is treated with a 3-step system: filtration, ozone production, additional disinfection.

We recommend the addition of high-quality oxygen or bromine products (e.g. the Bayrol Whirlpool Set).

Jet Systems

2 separate high-performance massage pumps* with a performance 400 l per minute(!) each ensure a powerful underwater massage. Your body is "treated" with 40 buckets of water every 60 seconds - and this from each pump! So you can see what large amounts of water are processed by your Riviera Spa.

You can regulate the quantity of air in the water jet, and thus the intensity of the massage, through the "Air Controls" on the edge of the pool. All nozzle inserts are easily exchangeable and partly individually adjustable. The escutcheons are made of high-grade chrome steel. The „JetControl" switch can be conveniently reached from every seat. It allows regulation of the water volume and distribution of the intensity of the jets at the individual massage ares. Only high-quality components of known manufacturers, for which spare parts and service are ensured, are used for jet and filter pumps of Riviera Spas. This ensures maximum safety for permanent operation.

The Spa Manager

The Spa Manager with Duplex Digital Control is the ingenious control panel of your whirlpool. It regulates all functions of the pool easily, and also the interaction of all components. It supplies digital information, like water temperature and time of day, diagnostic messages and operating modes.

It switches on jets, blowers, lights and setting of filtration times, temperatures, time and operating modes. The equipment is programmed in the factory. You just have to start. Even after a power failure, the Spa Manager saves its programs for 30 days.

Hygiene functions: The control also automatically regulates filtration, water heating and operation of the ozonator for basic disinfection. At regular intervals, the Spa Manager initiates a system purge and thus prevents the formation of bacteria in the piping system. The equipment can be set in various operating modes according to your needs. Standard mode for permanent operation - temperature is permanently measured and regulated. Economy or Saving Mode for standby operation - for instance during vacation time, if the pool is not used for a long period and in case the temperature may drop. This way, Riviera Spas contribute to energy saving.

Safety functions: They control the pool and ensure that it is not damaged by frost, excessively high temperatures, lack of water, and much more. And should you forget to switch off a function, the automatic "Time Out" does it for you. If your Spa Manager can not solve a problem on its own, it lets you know and asks you for help.

The Duplex Digital Control Panel is equipped with a clearly recognisable Liquid Crystal Display and illuminated sensor fields for easy use. Child safety is ensured by means of a lock code. The housing and display plate are made of robust Lexan. The housing and the key fields are filled with gel and transmit the keyed-in commands to the sensors without the need for mechanics that are susceptible to failure. They are permanently "encased" in water-, weather- and chemical-resistant material, able to withstand heat, humidity and cleaning agents.

Riviera Spas are supplied with only one control panel for all functions. The well thought out menu structure makes additional control elements that would need to be operated from outside superfluous. The quality of the Spa Manager and its components is the best on the world market. We purchase these from the market leader that has been successfully producing electronic control systems for spas for over 20 years.
